About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Architect to join our design team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of architectural projects from concept through construction, gaining hands-on experience under the supervision of senior architects. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, eager to learn, and committed to developing a professional career in architecture. This firm is well established in Canada with a strong portfolio of work across multiple sectors.

THE JOB

  • Assist project teams in the preparation of drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentations.

  • Contribute to the development of design concepts, schematic layouts, and detailed documentation.

  • Support coordination with consultants, contractors, and clients.

  • Participate in site visits, field reviews, and construction administration activities.

  • Research materials, building systems, and design standards as needed.

  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, local regulations, and firm standards.

  • Collaborate closely with team members to deliver high-quality design outcomes on schedule.

WHAT’S REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program in Canada, with a high GPA result (3.3+)

  • Possess a strong portfolio of work showing a high level of design sensibility

  • Enrollment in an architectural internship or licensing program (preferred), or eligible to become enrolled. Candidates with 2+ years of post grad industry experience are preferred.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Rhino.

  • Strong design, visualization, and technical drawing skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior staff.
