About the Firm
We are a dynamic architecture and design studio in Alberta seeking a full-time Architect or Project Manager to join our team. This role is centered on coordinating large-scale architectural projects, including public sector developments, first nations projects, and multi-family residential buildings.
The successful candidate will focus on project management and coordination during the early design stages, ensuring that schedules, documentation, consultants, and team deliverables remain aligned. While not responsible for producing design work directly, this role is critical in keeping complex projects organized, on track, and moving efficiently from concept to execution.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to high-profile projects and work closely with experienced architects and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Principal and Project Managers in coordinating early project stages, including pre-design, schematic design, and design development
Track project progress and ensure internal and consultant deliverables are aligned with schedules
Liaise with project team members, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication
Attend meetings as required to document key decisions, updates, and action items
Assist with proposal preparation, permit submissions, and project documentation
Maintain organized project records and support quality control processes
Help implement and maintain established project workflows and standards
Conduct occasional visits to Edmonton and project sites as needed
What's required
Minimum 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years working with Canadian building codes
Must have experience managing or working on large complex public project developments in recent years
Education in Architecture, Project Management, or related fields; Architect registration or PMP designation preferred
Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Comfortable managing consultant documentation, specifications, and project schedules
Proficiency with common architectural software and documentation tools is an asset
Willingness to attend site visits in Edmonton and other project locations on a regular basis (potentially weekly).
Based in Alberta
