Position: Senior Staff Accountant

Our client in the public accounting /bookkeeping space has been a successful entrepreneur for over 15 years. They pride themselves on working with individuals and small businesses offering a variety of services including bookkeeping, income tax filings and returns, estate planning, payroll services and more.

Role Overview
This role will assist with managing a large book of established business and those relationships. This is a small office where you must work independently and efficiently in a very busy environment.

Responsibilities

• T1, T2 and T3 Filings
• Full service bookkeeping for small businesses including year end close
• HST filings
• Payroll and some HR services
• Estate Planning
• Government Audit assistance

Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Minimum 4+ years experience in a full service bookkeeping or public accounting role
• Solid experience of personal and small business income tax filings
• Excellent command of the English language
• Proficiency in accounting systems including Microsoft Suite (Excel, word, power point), Quickbooks, and various Tax softwares
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset
