Shaharyar has a background in fintech, insurance, and energy. He graduated from the Haskayne School of Business from the University of Calgary, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce in Energy Management. He worked for insurance giant AIG on the business development team, and then moved on to work for fintech unicorn Shareworks by Morgan Stanley as a client manager. Handling clients from the energy sector in both roles, Shaharyar has a thorough understanding of the energy, minerals, and cleantech market through North America, and understands organizational structure, career progression, management styles and skill development in the industry.
