Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and support in the project management process.
- Work closely with clients through the design and construction process, manage the application and permitting process with municipalities.
- Maintaining and cultivate positive business relationships with existing and prospective clients, external bodies, and internal team.
- Frequent travel to project sites (within Ontario, GTA).
- Ability to oversee borehole drilling, geotechnical assessments.
- Conduct design, analysis, report writing for projects.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principals and practices.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in an Engineering role.
- Ability to assist in office management, client interfacing, and business development.
- Positive attitude, perseverance, grit, and ability to roll with the punches of new sales and business development.
- Problem-solving skills, handling issues with tact and responsibility internally and externally.
- Coachability, be open to working with the senior leadership team to improve your game, take advice and implement new strategies.
- College or University education mandatory, Bachelors degree or Diploma mandatory. Masters education is preferred.
- P.Eng certification through PEO is mandatory, or ability to certify.
- Experience in projects related to pavement design, tunnelling, slope stability, railways, water infrastructure, and land development is highly preferred.
- Must have a valid license and/or means of transportation to visit project sites.
- AutoCAD, MS Office.
