Our client in the building material industry is looking for an accounts payable clerk to cover a maternity leave.  The right candidate will report into the accounting manager and be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Process and code vendor invoices

  • Prepare and issue payments (cheque, EFT, credit card)

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain accurate vendor records and files

  • Assist with month-end and audit support

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
