Job Title: Accountant
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on experience across core accounting functions and a strong foundation in general ledger accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with AR, AP, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries
• Solid understanding of GAAP and strong Excel skills; ERP system experience a plus
