We are seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to oversee our client's field operations and ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily field activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Manage foremen and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality control, and work methodologies.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and progress review meetings to plan work execution with foremen.
  • Enforce compliance with COR IHSA safety regulations, conducting site inspections and ensuring proper safety protocols.
  • Oversee equipment operation and work methodologies, ensuring best practices for site efficiency.
  • Ensure operators complete equipment circle checks, incident reports, time sheets, and daily logs correctly.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, site security (cameras, lighting, fencing), and equipment tracking.
  • Maintain daily logs, crew productivity reports, and site issue records
  • Provide daily updates to support scheduling, budgeting, and overall project tracking.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, grading, excavation, compaction, concrete forming, paving, and underground utilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
  • Experience with Topcon GPS, MS Project, Revu, or similar tools for project tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation (excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders) and an understanding of maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage and guide site staff, including foremen and subcontractors.
  • Ability to manage site operations without direct intervention from foremen, ensuring smooth execution of work.
  • Health and safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, OSHA, COR IHSA compliance).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks effectively.
