About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established private dental laboratory in Nova Scotia that is investing heavily in advanced digital dentistry. We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Dental Design Technician with digital workflows. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about premium-quality implant design using the highest level implant brands, restorations and thrives in a fast-paced production environment with high clinical expectations.

If you excel in complex case design, understand implants end-to-end, and enjoy working directly with dentists on treatment planning and case troubleshooting, this is an opportunity to join a lab that prioritizes craftsmanship, technology, innovation, and continuous learning.

What You’ll Do

• Design full-arch implant restorations using 3Shape, including advanced full-arch cases.
• Use Blender for Dental to split designs, including bar and shell workflows.
• Execute precise smile design for high-aesthetic anterior cases.
• Collaborate directly with prosthodontists and doctors on treatment planning, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Produce and finish cases to a premium standard, including ceramics, anterior esthetics, and full-arch zirconia implant bridges.
• Apply advanced implant knowledge, including case strategy and complication resolution.
• Work with custom abutment milling, both in-house and via outsourcing partners such as Straumann, Atlantis, and Nobel.
• Support a mostly digital workflow and contribute to continuous process improvement and team skill development.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD/CAM systems within a dental lab.
• Advanced proficiency in 3Shape and familiarity with Blender for Dental.
• Strong understanding of full-arch occlusion and high clinical accuracy standards.
• Ability to speak confidently with doctors using appropriate technical and clinical terminology.
• Experience in ceramics and high-esthetic finishing, including anterior esthetics.
• Expertise in implant systems, digital workflows, troubleshooting, and custom abutments.
• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to innovation, precision, and efficiency.
