Our client, a rapidly growing public accounting firm specializing in the entertainment industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their North York office. Known for its dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, this firm offers a unique opportunity for candidates who want accelerated career growth and meaningful client exposure.
This is not your typical CPA firm. The team is in expansion mode and looking for a personable, driven accountant who enjoys building client relationships and taking ownership of files. The successful candidate will initially work in-office during training, with the potential for a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review Notice to Reader, Review, and Audit engagements for owner-managed clients
Prepare corporate (T2), personal (T1 – limited), and trust tax returns
Manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Communicate directly with clients on accounting and tax matters
Assist with engagement planning and identify tax planning opportunities
Mentor and review the work of junior staff
Client Exposure Includes:
Owner-managed businesses, particularly within the entertainment sector
Holding companies (HoldCos) and corporate group structures
Partnerships and professional corporations
High-net-worth individuals and families
Investment income (dividends, interest, capital gains)
Real estate entities and investment structures
Family trusts and estate planning structures
Intercompany transactions and corporate reorganizations
Compensation planning (salary vs. dividends)
Qualifications:
CPA designation (or near completion / CFE passed)
3+ years of experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian tax
Experience with CaseWare/CaseView and TaxPrep (or similar)
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively
Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
