Senior Project Coordinator – Construction
Location: Toronto, ON
Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000+, depending on experience
Our client is a well-established construction and development group based in Toronto, currently seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to join their team.
This role is well suited for someone with a strong project coordination background gained with a reputable general contractor, construction manager, or developer-builder. The successful candidate should be comfortable supporting active construction projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, and trades to keep documentation, approvals, and coordination items moving.
A strong working knowledge of Procore is required, along with hands-on experience coordinating shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, project documentation, and document control. The client is looking for someone who has been exposed to well-structured construction processes and understands the pace and expectations of an active project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the project team with day-to-day coordination across active construction projects.
Manage project documentation, drawings, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, change documentation, and project records through Procore.
Coordinate shop drawings and submittals between consultants, trades, and the internal project team.
Assist with tendering, bid packages, trade communication, and subcontractor coordination as required.
Support the preparation and administration of contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and related project correspondence.
Maintain organized document control processes to ensure drawings, specifications, and project records are accurate and up to date.
Track project deliverables, deadlines, approvals, and follow-ups to help keep projects moving forward.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of project coordination experience within the construction industry.
Experience with a reputable general contractor, construction manager, or developer-builder is strongly preferred.
Advanced Procore experience is required.
Strong experience with shop drawings and submittals is required.
Document control experience is required.
Tendering experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience preparing contracts is considered an asset.
Engineering, construction management, or related post-secondary education is preferred.
Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and coordination skills.
