OUR CLIENT:

A well-established construction firm with a strong focus on construction management, general contracting and infrastructure projects across Ontario is seeking a Project Coordinator (Bridges). The Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting projects from conception to completion, while maintaining accurate records and documentation through the project lifecycle. 

This role requires a working knowledge of bridge construction, structural concrete, heavy civil sequencing and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support the Project Manager and Site-Team with day-to-day coordination of active projects.
  • Assist with submittals, shop drawings and document management.
  • Track schedules, materials, and site logistics to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Assist with budget monitoring, cost forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Track project costs, labour hours, equipment usage and production quantities.
  • Oversee change management including RFI’s and RFC’s.
  • Assist with take-offs, work tracking and progress measurements.
  • Coordinate with trades, coordinators, and suppliers.
  • Contribute to maintaining safety, quality and compliance across the project.
  • Assist with environmental compliance requirements including erosion control, watercourse protection and permit conditions.
  • Coordinate survey, layout, inspection, and testing activities.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 4-6 years of experience in bridge, structural concrete or heavy civil construction
  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar field.
  • Exposure to bridge construction methods, formwork methods, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and heavy civil sequencing.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with Ontario Health and Safety Act and construction regulations.
  • Ability to multitask in a fact paced construction environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
