Accounting Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: 70-100K (commensurate with experience)


We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting. This role will lead core accounting functions while partnering with leadership to ensure strong internal controls and process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close
  • Manage AR, AP, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and support audits
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
