About the Role
Our client is seeking a Healthcare Architect to join their team and contribute to a growing and evolving sector within the practice. This role is suited to someone with experience in healthcare or complex institutional work who understands the technical, operational, and regulatory requirements of these environments. You will be involved across all phases of projects, from early planning through to construction, while also supporting client relationships and contributing to the long term growth of the healthcare portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to healthcare projects through all phases, from concept design to construction completion
- Apply knowledge of healthcare planning, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements to project delivery
- Work on a range of project types including hospitals, ambulatory care, and specialized treatment facilities
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and user groups to ensure project success and strong relationships
- Support renovations and new build projects within active healthcare environments
- Contribute to proposals, presentations, and business development efforts within the healthcare sector
- Mentor junior team members and support a collaborative studio culture
- Participate in the ongoing growth and evolution of the healthcare practice
Qualifications
- Registered Architect or eligible for registration in Canada
- Minimum 5 years of post registration experience, ideally with healthcare or complex institutional projects
- Strong understanding of healthcare planning principles and project delivery requirements
- Experience working across multiple project phases, including construction documentation and contract administration
- Proficiency in Revit and standard architectural software
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail oriented with strong technical and design capabilities
