This reputable and recognized Architecture and Design firm in Ottawa is looking to add a talented and aspiring Architect / Project Manager to their dynamic team. This firm have a broad portfolio of work and are committed to design excellent and outstanding service delivery.

THE ROLE

• Collaborate with Senior Architects to develop schematic and concept designs
• Work collaboratively with technologist, architects and designers in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
• Prepares presentations and presents design concepts and drawings, work with programming
• Maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team
• Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues.
• Manage and lead projects through various phases
• Communicates in a clear, concise, and professional manner at all times, both verbally and in writing
• Evaluates site conditions and produce reports

• Work with permitting documentation, assess quality control 

• Coordinate and liaise with clients, trades and other stakeholders

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• To be successful in this role, you will have at least 8+ years of industry experience
• Registered Architect preferred or eligible to become registered
• Experience working on public sector projects with at least 4+ years working with local building codes and bylaws
• Good project management skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines is also essential.

Position open to candidates out of province willing to relocate to Ottawa, Ontario
