We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BIM (Building Information Modelling) Coordinator to join our fast-growing client within the clean energy sector.
They’re seeking a skilled and proactive BIM Coordinator to lead the integration and management of digital design models across complex, multidisciplinary projects. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of driving collaboration between teams, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering high-quality project outcomes through innovative BIM practices and technologies.
- This role will be initially a hybrid role with eventual transition to a more on site position in the London, ON area.
The Role:
- Lead and coordinate BIM models across multiple disciplines, ensuring data integrity and full compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee Asset Information Management (AIM) and facilitate a seamless handover to Operations upon project completion.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Conduct rigorous quality checks and audits on models to ensure alignment with project standards.
- Facilitate coordination meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve design clashes and optimize workflows.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to project teams on BIM standards, tools, and processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in BIM practices.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BIM Coordination, ideally on large-scale, multidisciplinary industrial projects, with demonstrated expertise in clash detection, coordination, and model auditing.
- Proficiency with CADD/BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AVEVA E3D, MicroStation) and familiarity with document and construction management systems (Omega 365, SharePoint, Aconex).
- Recognized degree in Engineering or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills with ability to provide direction to contractors, foster collaboration, and deliver results through effective communication and team motivation.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.
- In-depth understanding of BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650, LOD development), and working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
