Now Hiring: Machine Shop – Afternoon Shift Supervisor

My client, a leading precision machining company with advanced capabilities, currently seeking a motivated and experienced Afternoon Shift Supervisor to lead their production team.

This hands-on leadership role manages a talented group of machinists working with top-tier CNC and manual equipment. We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a passion for mentoring and process excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, support, and mentor a team of machinists during afternoon shift operations.

• Oversee quality, safety, and production efficiency in real-time.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical guidance.

• Coordinate and adapt production schedules to meet deadlines.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop environment.

• Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Communicate priorities, expectations, and feedback consistently.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years machining experience (manual and CNC)

• 2+ years supervising or team lead experience

• Familiarity with advanced machining equipment (e.g., DMG, Mazak, Swiss lathe, Okuma)

• Post-secondary certificate in machining or related program (preferred)

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to motivate a team and make confident decisions
