Our client operates in a niche sector of CPG manufacturing and is seeking a Senior General Accountant to join their growing business to support day-to-day financial operations. This is a stand-alone role with definite growth opportunities.

About the role:
Working collaboratively in a fast paced team environment, you will report directly to the Leadership Team with duties including but not be limited to:

• Maintain accurate vendor records, track payment terms, and manage weekly payables
• Generate customer PO’s and invoices, monitor AR aging, follow up on overdue accounts,
  
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Manage daily bank account activity and ongoing reconciliations
• Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings, GST/HST requirements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in partnership with
  leadership
• Provide general office and administrative support as the company prepares for significant growth

About the candidate:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA designation (completed or in progress)
• 8+ years of experience in financial administration and full cycle general accounting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop is preferred and solid Excel skills are essential
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to step-up and roll up sleeves, collaborate and work cross functionally.
• Exceptional English communication skills and a customer centric attitude
