Our client is a successful multi-entity general contractor working in the ICI Sector. They are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to assist with full cycle project accounting duties.
About the role:
This individual must demonstrate high standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. You will be able to multi-task, wear many hats and love variety in your day to day work. You will provide support as needed and will have frequent interactions with other company leaders, staff, contractors, vendors, and customers.
Responsibilities would include full cycle accounting for or 6-8 projects at the same time each with having 6-10 sub trades including:
- Vendor management and accounts payable, billings and accounts receivable
- PO maintenance, g/l coding and invoice entering
- Management of Project expenses
- Journal Entries, Reconciliations and month end reporting
Qualifications:
- CPA, Accounting or Finance Degree, Diploma or equivalent post secondary education
- Minimum 7+ year of experience in full cycle Accounting within the Builder or General Contractor Industry
- Demonstrated understanding of ICI projects that are public tenders under CCDC contract agreement
- Proficiency required in Quickbook Online and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills, are mature, professional, reliable and looking for long term stability.
- You have the ability to work independently without direct supervision or monitoring
