Operations Manager

Location – Edmonton, AB

Salary – 90K-110K

Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization with a strong footprint in the Edmonton market. They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead plant operations, drive performance, and ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production. This role is critical to aligning people, processes, and output while supporting long-term operational excellence.

The Operations Manager will oversee daily manufacturing activities, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and work closely with senior leadership to meet production, quality, cost, and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics

• Drive operational efficiency by improving processes, workflows, and production performance

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards

• Manage and develop supervisors and frontline leaders, fostering accountability and engagement

• Monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity; implement corrective actions as needed

• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives

• Champion Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational best practices

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior production leadership role

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workforce management

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a multi-shift environment

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is an asset

• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
