The company is entering an exciting phase of growth, process optimization, and systems enhancement and they would like an strategic, growth minded Plant-Controller.
About the Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and commercially minded Plant Controller who wants to play a true leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will act as a strategic business partner to Operations while owning the full finance function for the plant.
This role goes far beyond traditional reporting. The ideal candidate will help drive operational efficiencies, strengthen financial controls, improve costing visibility, and support key business decisions across production, inventory, pricing, and margin optimization.
You will have the opportunity to influence processes, support ERP enhancements, and contribute directly to the continued growth and modernization of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all plant finance activities including month-end close, reporting, forecasting, and analysis
Oversee costing activities including BOMs, standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS, and profitability analysis
Partner closely with Operations to improve efficiencies and identify cost-saving initiatives
Monitor inventory controls and analyze variances to improve accuracy and performance
Support pricing strategies, raw material analysis, and margin forecasting
Manage CapEx tracking, fixed assets, budgeting, and financial planning activities
Contribute to KPI development and operational performance reporting
Support ERP optimization and system/process improvements
Participate in S&OP discussions, labor and overhead modeling, and strategic initiatives
Assist with audit processes and ensure strong internal controls
Qualifications
CPA designation required
5+ years of experience within manufacturing/plant finance environments
Strong experience with costing, inventory management, pricing analysis, and KPI reporting
Experience working with mid-to-large ERP systems; ERP implementation experience is considered a strong asset
Proven ability to partner effectively with Operations and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working within a growing and evolving organization
Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred
