Design Engineer (Water/Wastewater)
Location: Mississauga
Salary$120,000-$150,000 (based on experience)
About the Opportunity:
We have partnered with an established Engineering Consulting Firm who is looking to add a Design Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity, and will allow the ideal candidate to demonstrate their experience designing linear water/wastewater infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of upcoming projects, planning studies and designs.
- Design conveyance systems for municipal projects including force mains, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers.
- Ensure current projects remain on budget and on track.
- Work in conjunction with municipal, utilities, and approval agencies to ensure consistent communication wit all parties.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, and other departments as required.
- Assist field staff on construction projects.
- Assist with start-up, testing, and commissioning
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience related to the design and construction administration of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- A current and valid Professional Engineer certification (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
- Experience with trenchless technologies, and pipeline rehabilitation.
- Experience with Ontario Environmental standards and guidelines.
- Planning and permitting processes experience.
- Project management experience with municipal water and sewer projects is an asset.
- Valid license, ability to travel and visit projects sites within Ontario.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D software
