We’re working with a well-established consulting engineering firm in Ottawa that’s looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Lead. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a collaborative, close-knit environment and wants to play a meaningful role in both project delivery and the future growth of the firm.

The team is small and hands-on, so this role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable taking ownership, supporting junior staff, and getting involved in different aspects of the business. You’ll work across a variety of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects, with involvement from early design through to construction.

There’s also an opportunity to become a shareholder, giving you a say in the direction of the business and its long-term growth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead electrical design and project delivery from concept to completion
• Prepare and review designs, specifications, and technical documents
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate team members
• Coordinate with internal teams, architects, and external consultants
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Contribute to proposals and business development efforts
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall execution

What you bring:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario, or working toward it
• 8+ years of consulting experience, ideally in building systems
• Experience with commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects
• Strong technical design skills and knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Comfortable leading projects while staying involved in the details
• Interest in mentoring and contributing to team growth
