About the Role
We’re recruiting for an award-winning multidisciplinary design studio located in North Toronto known for high-end hospitality, luxury retail, and bespoke residential work. They work with top tier hospitality clients: bring spaces to life through architecture, landscape, interiors, and product design
They’re looking for someone with 5+ years full-time experience; a creative, and collaborative Interior Designer specializing in FF&E to join a dynamic team and deliver high-quality solutions across complex projects.
* This role is non-hybrid and requires daily office collaboration. *
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Project Leads and Senior Designers to manage multiple projects from concept through completion across all FF&E stages.
- Conceptualize custom furniture, millwork, and decorative lighting that align with brand standards.
- Collaborate with industrial designers to develop custom FFE pieces including floor coverings .
- Create and refine furniture layouts for functionality and flow.
- Write FF&E specifications using industry software (e.g., Fohlio or similar).
- Manage and coordinate with suppliers and furniture manufacturers; participate in prototype reviews and provide design feedback.
- Coordinate internally with design and project management teams and work closely with procurement.
- Review, track, and coordinate FF&E submittals to ensure consistency with approved design intent.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of design experience with a clear specialization in FF&E design.
- Experience in 5-star luxury hospitality projects is a strong asset.
- Software Skills: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). SketchUp
- Familiarity with FF&E specification tools (e.g., Fohlio) is an asset.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; able to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven understanding of materiality, space, and scale.
- Strong product knowledge of furniture, fabrics, accessories, art, drapery, decorative lighting, and finishes.
- Solid budget management skills.
- Positive attitude; thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong time and priority management.
