Key Responsibilities
-
Draft, review, and format legal documents (letters, pleadings, resolutions, corporate forms, real estate documents, etc.)

Conduct legal research and compile case law or background materials

Prepare court documents and assist with filing/service in accordance with Quebec and federal rules
-
Manage physical and electronic client files with accuracy and confidentiality
-
Maintain calendars, deadlines, and limitation dates for multiple files
-
Support corporate matters: incorporations, resolutions, minute books, filings
-
Assist in real estate transactions: draft documentation, review title searches, prepare closings, coordinate processes

Communicate professionally with clients, notaries, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Prepare invoices, track billable hours, and assist with billing and collections

General office duties: scanning, filing, database management
Qualifications / Requirements

Diploma in Paralegal Studies or Legal Assistant certification from a recognized institution

Minimum 3 years of continuous law firm experience (up to 20 years considered), preferably in a small or boutique office

Strong command of English (written and spoken); functional French

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with legal software (Clio, JurisÉvolution, CosmoLex, etc.) is an asset

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Professional demeanor, ability to work independently and collaboratively
