About The Opportunity:
We have partnered with an established Engineering Consulting Firm who is looking to add a Senior Bridge Engineer to their growing team. This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for someone who has extensive experience in a leadership capacity, thrives working on complex projects and has enjoys working with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering computations, tender packages, cost estimates and quantity take-offs and technical proposals.
- Manage the preparation of engineering drawings and documentation for bridge, culverts and retaining walls.
- Spearhead the structural design of new bridges, culverts and retaining walls.
- Provide leadership to junior and intermediate engineers as well as other team members.
- Work in conjunction with municipalities, provincial approval authorities (MTO) and other agencies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design of bridges and other transportation structures.
- Registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA-S6) and MTO Structural manual
- Eligible for MTO RAQS registration
- Proficient in structural analysis software, AutoCAD, Excel and MS Project.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Previous experience leading design teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
