Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. This individual will play a key role in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a range of projects, including commercial interiors, renovations, and new ground-up builds. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and design teams throughout all phases of preconstruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial fit-up, renovation, tenant improvement, and ground-up projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and conceptual designs to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing
• Develop conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates for design-build projects
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
• Identify value engineering opportunities and provide cost-saving recommendations
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams during design development
• Assist in preparing proposals, bid submissions, and client presentations
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit pricing, and historical cost data
• Support seamless handoff to project management and field teams upon project award

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Experience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, and ground-up construction
• Design-build project experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, or similar)
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and Texas market pricing
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
