Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 (Base + Commission)
Commission Structure: Percentage of Gross Profit on all processed invoices

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for supporting customer satisfaction, driving revenue growth, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and expand business opportunities.

This role also offers a structured path toward leadership, where the individual will work alongside current ownership and corporate leadership to support a thoughtful, phased transition. The focus is on maintaining continuity of customer relationships while contributing to operational alignment and long-term business growth.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Inside Sales professional to contribute to a stable, growing business while developing into a leadership role over time. The position is designed for someone who can balance relationship management, operational execution, and long-term growth within a collaborative transition environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to maintain customer satisfaction and identify growth opportunities
  • Support and manage a defined portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring consistent service and revenue development
  • Provide product pricing by leveraging company resources, market trends, and margin objectives
  • Prepare and deliver accurate customer quotations (oral and written)
  • Perform order entry and workflow management to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
  • Manage open orders and backorders to maximize revenue and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Act as a key liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Support sales reporting and analysis through ERP systems to identify trends and adjust strategies
  • Partner with the current Owner/Manager during a transitional period to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer
  • Assist in aligning processes, pricing strategies, and customer management practices with company standards
  • Identify opportunities for improved workflows and operational efficiency
  • Continue developing product knowledge, sales skills, and leadership capabilities
  • Attain established sales goals and performance objectives

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required; additional education preferred
  • 2+ years of inside sales or sales support experience, preferably in building materials, construction supply, or distribution

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and high transaction volume with accuracy
  • Results-driven mindset with accountability to revenue and growth targets
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Comfortable working in a transitioning, relationship-driven environment
  • Proficient with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
