Our client has projects all over the GTA and have built very strong relationships with major Commercial clients. We are looking for a Project Manager to own the process for these clients for full cycle projects.
Project Manager – Construction (Confidential Opportunity)
A well-established construction organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex building projects from pre-construction through completion. This role involves full responsibility for project planning, financial performance, scheduling, and team coordination.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The position requires regular site involvement and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects through the full lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through project close-out
- Maintain accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management
- Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change management
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Support and guide project team members, including Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators
- Identify project risks early and implement strategies to mitigate schedule or cost impacts
- Review and interpret technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and engineering reports to support project planning and execution
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication among stakeholders
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of progressive experience in construction project management with a general contractor
- Demonstrated experience managing building construction projects such as commercial, institutional, mixed-use, or multi-residential developments
- Proven ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously throughout the full project lifecycle
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore or similar software
- Proficiency in project scheduling, financial reporting, and cost management
Expertise
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities in dynamic project environments
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage clients and project stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve challenges in a collaborative manner
- Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing practical solutions
