About The Opportunity:

We have partnered with an established Engineering Consulting Firm who is looking to add a Project Manager(Water/Wastewater) to their growing team. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity, and will allow the ideal candidate to demonstrate their experience planning and designing water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, planning, study, and design (preliminary and detailed design), approval, and contract administration of : reservoirs and storage tanks, pumping stations, new water transmission and distribution mains for water and wastewater.
  • Preparation and tracking of project budgets and schedules.
  • Collect, monitor, and evaluate design submissions, cost estimates, tender documents, construction schedules, and applications for approval.
  • Perform Environmental Assessments related to water and wastewater systems.
  • Prepare project reports, proposals, environmental assessments, design documents and permit applications.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Certified as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEO).
  • Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes, agency and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience of delivering municipal water/wastewater projects from design to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects.
  • Have a track record of gaining approval of infrastructure designs from approval authorities and environmental agencies.
  • Skilled in cost estimating and specification writing.
  • Experience with MS Office MS Word and MS Project
  • Experience with Auto Cad, MicroStation or Civil 3D
